A truck carrying clothes intended for Balmain’s Paris fashion week was stolen according to an Instagram post from the brand’s artistic director.
The French house’s executive said that thieves seized the vehicle carrying 50 items slated for the new collection to be unveiled at the Paris fashion week enroute to the label’s headquarters from the Paris airport.
Balmain is expected to present its 2024 spring-summer collection on Sept. 27 and thus will need to work overnight to get replacement pieces ready for the show.
Although he did not go into details, Olivier Rousteing said the driver was hijacked but from the post was later released.
Balmain is wholly owned by Mayhoola, a Quatari investment vehicle backed by the royal family.
